Spend time in our professional, purpose-built production studio with access to all the equipment you might need. Utilize Queen Mab's production patterns and a wide range of professional patterns to learn how to create bespoke garments for yourself or others.
Classes are available throughout the week and on Saturday mornings.
Small groups can also book a 1 or 2-day workshop with a specific focus or desired outcome.

For students with basic sewing machine experience
Ready to turn your sewing machine skills into wearable fashion? Our Beginner Dressmaking Course is designed for those who know the basics of using a sewing machine and are eager to start making their own clothes.
In this course, you’ll move beyond simple stitching and learn the foundations of garment construction. With step-by-step guidance, you'll gain confidence reading patterns, cutting fabric, and assembling your first handmade garment—all while learning essential dressmaking techniques.
What you’ll learn:
By the end of the course, you’ll complete a finished garment and have the skills to continue exploring your own fashion and dressmaking projects at home.
Perfect for: Students who are comfortable using a sewing machine and want to begin making their own clothing with confidence.

Our Intermediate Dressmaking and Sewing Course is designed for those with basic sewing experience who want to refine their techniques, explore more complex garment construction, and gain greater confidence in creating well-fitted, professional-looking clothing.
Building on foundational skills, focusing on improving precision, mastering tricky techniques, and introducing new tools and materials. You’ll complete one or more intermediate-level garments while learning how to customize patterns, enhance fit, and add stylish finishing details.
What you’ll learn:
· Advanced sewing techniques (e.g., darts, pleats, linings, facings)
· Pattern modifications for a better fit and style
· Working with a wider range of fabrics (e.g.delicate or heavy materials)
· Garment construction for more tailored or structured designs
